NELSON OYEN TORVIK PLLP

Chris joined Nelson Oyen Torvik in 2017 and serves as a partner with the firm. Growing up in the rural farm community of Adrian, Minnesota, Chris understands the small-town values of personal service and community which are necessary to serve the greater Minnesota area. His practice focuses on litigation, including civil, commercial, family, guardianship, landlord/tenant, and probate matters. His priority is fighting for his client goals with aggressive and common-sense representation. He has also tried dozens of criminal cases to verdict in his role as Assistant County Attorney. When he is not in the courtroom, Chris also assists his clients with drafting their estate plan or reviewing business documents.

Chris is an active member of the Montevideo Lions Club, St. Joseph Catholic Church, the 12th District Bar Association, and serves on the board of the Montevideo Industrial Development Corporation. In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and dogs. He also enjoys cooking, traveling, competing in his fantasy football leagues.
